I love Yoga. If you are dealing with stress in anyway, you should consider going to a beginners Yoga class. The release from stress and tension that Yoga provides is really unmatched by anything else. The stretching and breathing allows your body to open up and let go of the tensions you’re holding on to. Yoga takes your body to new levels of relaxation. You may think you’re relaxing when you are kicking back, watching television, or having a drink after work. Yeah, you may feel relaxed, but that level of relaxation is only the surface. You’re just numbing your stress, not relieving it. Yoga relieves stress. Yoga teaches you what your body feels like when you are truly relaxed. The practice of Yoga finds your stress and releases it from your body. It’s amazing.
You don’t have to be master to feel the benefits of Yoga. You don’t have to wait to feel relief from stress. The feeling is immediate. If you think Yoga is weird or something you would never do. I am pleading with you to reconsider.
I am not a Yoga expert and I don’t want to be. I just enjoy going through the class and allowing the instructor to take me through the experience – and it is an experience. After your first class, you will know exactly what I’m talking about.

Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Bring your heels as close to the buttocks as you can. Support your back with your hands, breathe in deeply, and lift your back and thighs until your weight is supported by your shoulders and feet. Your abdomen and thighs should form a straight line. When you are comfortable in the pose, breathe in and out regularly. Remove your hands from your spine and rest them palms down on the floor.
